This series consists of a list of returns to writs of execution in which the sheriff has been unable to find any goods of the defendant within his jurisdiction upon which he could levy for non-payment of taxes. Information generally includes name of taxpayer, township, number of lots and value, number of buildings and value, total value, total value of real estate, total value of personal estate, total value of all taxable property, total tax, amount of penalty, amount of tax and penalty, and sheriff's reasons for not collecting. This information is generally summarized in the Annual Report of the State Comptroller General.
